Back with the boys at last

Today has been an exciting day .. we started the day being reunited with the boys!! We can't believe how big they've gotten in the last few months. They both were a little apprehensive at first but quickly adjusted and "warmed up" to us. We got a late start this morning because Svetlana was busy with phone calls so we got there just before lunch/nap time and this was a factor to our time with the boys. Roman was again, very taken with Stephen and played cars and Max was happy to sit on my lap, suck his thumb and take a little nap.

We hope to have more time with them tomorrow and in a few days we go to court and then can post many pictures of our new family. We are settling in the apartment and learning our way around the area.

Here's a picture of Stephen's newest friend

For those who don't know, Stephen was a HUGE fan of ALF growing up and now he has a life sized version in our bedroom in the apartment!!

Any EKAT families who are reading the blog, please send restaraunt suggestions from when you were here!! We are beginning to explore but would love any recommendations from what you enjoyed!!!

Can't wait to see the boys again tomorrow and to show pictures soon!!!

Oh my gosh! Alf! You're in the same apartment that Mike and I stayed in. In the big blue glass apartment building. Too funny! Not sure how in to sports you are but I enjoyed watching ESPN American. You can catch a lot of hockey, basketball, etc.

Anyway, so happy you are back with the boys. I can't wait to see an updated photo. Restraunts.... we really likes Dr. Scotch's Pub right by the water. That's where we celebrated Valentine's Day. But Churchill's right next to the apartment is pretty good too. There's a KFC by the red brick church for lunch, we never did find McD's.

Keep us posted!
Melissa

How wonderful that you got to spend some quality time with the boys. It's a long drive and there were times we only had short visits, too -- but oh so worth it!

As for restaurants, I'll send you an e-mail but I second Melissa with Dr. Scotch's Pub. We went there twice -- once with Beth! If you feel adventurous, there's always "SUNDAYS" right there near your apt (we were close by on the other side of the mall). It's like a buffet but you pay for the food a la carte. A Spanish couple took us there right before we left and if we had more time (ha -- more than 4 weeks!), we would have gone back.

E-mail you soon.

P.S. How's the weather...chilly?

Yay! I'm so glad to hear you are there and have seen the boys. No restaurant ideas as we were on the other side of Russia :) Can't wait to hear your updates as you get closer to having the boys with you forever!
